Oh, GOD. This was supposed to be for Zoshi's birthday. I am so, so sorry. Please don't kill me?
Same universe as the silly return fic. Remember the silly return fic?
Normally, Fei was not a person who took stupid, extraordinary, unnecessary risks to impress people. He rather prided himself on having enough sense not to succumb to testosterone poisoning.
Most of the time.
He was still 17, after all, and try as he might, he was still prone to occasionally to something really, really stupid.
Now if only he could remember how this had led to him waking up in a dorm room he'd been in once, with a cold-pack on his head.
"Ah, the idiot awakens."
Well, shit, that wasn't good. When Oro was annoyed enough to insult someone so casually, it generally could be taken as a bad sign. Fei honestly had no idea how Oro could be so infinitely more terrifying than anything else ever in his seventeen years of existence, sitting there back wards on a desk chair in what looked suspiciously like pajama pants and a t-shirt.
"...er, Oro?"
"Can you tell me why you felt the need to get yourself concussed, so Ben had to freak out and drag you here?"
"...it seemed like a good idea at the time?" Which was possibly the worse thing he could think of to say. Fei wondered if he could blame it on the concussion, or on his slight double-take at Ben being the one to bring him here.
Oro snorted, and Fei resisted the urge to run screaming from the room.
Barely.
"Really, Fei, are you that desperate to get into my bed?"
Fei, for his part, managed to sit up and stare blankly at Oro. He knew he had to be turning a rather interesting shade of red, but his only, desperate hope was to pretend it wasn't there.
"What, should I have asked?" That was stupid. He was on a roll tonight...at the very least, he had managed to make the question sound innocent.
"Well, it would have saved me the time of trying for a repeat of finals week. Generally, you use your hand to check a temperature, Fei."
Well, shit. So much for innocent teasing, and denial.
"....There's no way I can possibly worm my way out of this one, is there?"
"Nuh-uh. I have photo evidence, too."
It was really rather disturbing how cheerful Oro was. Hell, it was downright sinister. Fei made a mental note to never, ever underestimate short, quiet people ever again, and watched Oro, warily.
"...Great. Now what?"
Again, the wrong question to ask. But it seemed to have spectacular results. Oro was out of the chair, across the room, and suddenly, easily, breathing out of Fei's lungs. Which was all very nice, and good, but Fei had this funny dependency on something known as oxygen. Luckily enough, from a respiratory standpoint, the experience was brief, and Oro had straightened to stand over Fei almost as quickly as he'd gotten there.
"That, generally."
"....I think I missed that one, care to tell me again?"
"Nice try. You will have to wait until you no longer have a head injury. Call it punishment for being stupid enough to get that."
"Damn...and after it heals?"
Oro smiled, wickedly, eyes glittering with mischief. And that was all the answer Fei needed.
....Yeah. I have no idea what Fei did to knock himself out, either. He wont tell me. >>;
Oro is being mean and evil, and while I love it to pieces, it worries me. Always the quiet ones...
Comment, conrit, blah blah blah.
